If you leave Richmond Park on foot by Roehampton Gate, and turn sharp left along an alleyway which follows the Park 'freebord', you soon reach a bridge across Beverley Brook. This shot was taken looking downstream from that bridge, with Palewell Common on the left. A similar view - but in milder weather - is to be found here: Image When the ponds in the Park freeze over, water birds often seek out this stretch of open water.
