The exit/entrance to Stanmer Park via Ditchling Road though this one is for private access only. A lot plainer than the Lower Lodges which was for many years the major entrance/exit to the estate where this has more of a tradesmans feel about it. They are not marked on Yeakell & Gardner's 1778 map but do appear on the first OS map of 1813.
