Severn Bank is situated in an elevated position overlooking the River Severn. Once part of the Earls of Coventry's Croome estate, in the 18th century a previous building on this site was probably used by 'fishing parties'. It is believed that Robert Adam drew plans for a classical style building for the 6th Earl, though his plans were never commissioned. The present building with its castellations dates from the early 19th century. In the 1820s the house was the home of Elizabeth Williams, mistress to the 8th Earl,after the Earl's death the house was let to the Dent family, the Worcester glove manufacturers.
