Cube sundial finial at east end of Pencaitland Parish Church. There are actually three sundials on the south, east and north faces of the cube. Much of the church dates back to the end of the 1500s or early 1600s, though it is thought to stand on the foundations of a much older church and parts remain from the late 12th and 13th centuries. http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/pencaitland/pencaitland/index.html
