The northern most street in the village of Falmer running between Ridge Road and Knights Gate Road, the latter being the only entry into the northern part of the village. The buildings on the left are Pelham Cottages which were formerly known as Knight's Almshouses and were built in 1869. That on the right is The Old Store being the village's former post office. Mill Street was also the original main road through the village marked as such on Yeakell & Gardner's map of 1778 and the first OS map of 1813. Sometime during the 19th century it was rerouted to follow Middle Street through the village.
