A snowy cap for the remains of the western wall of the castle, which rises from the rock outcrop. The wall has only recently been pointed by CADW, custodians of Welsh monuments, as part of their campaign to protect this important ruin. In the right background can be seen the tip of Gt. Orme's Head and the left horizon comprises the snowbound, north-eastern coast of Anglesey. Snowfall of this thickness is rare in this coastal area.
