Hall & Woodhouse Visitor Centre - steam engine

This horizontal single cylinder engine by E S Hindley of Bourton, Dorset was used in the Horsham brewery of King & Barnes. It was installed secondhand in 1900, stopped regular use in 1980 and was removed to here between 2000 and 2002. The cylinder is c8" x 12" and the flywheel is 4' diameter. In addition to this engine in the visitor centre the tower brewery contains one indigenous engine - Image and two further imports.
