View northwards, towards Derby, Nottingham etc.; ex-Midland Main Line London St Pancras to the Midlands and North, junction of lines to Birmingham, Peterborough etc. The train at the platform is the 20.45 local to Northampton via Market Harborough (with LMS 4F 0-6-0 No. 44575), while beside the water-column is LMS-type Fairburn 4MT 2-6-4T No. 42103.
