The road in the photo is The Square, though many people think of this as part of Warwick Road, which actually starts at the junction of Station Road 100 yards behind the photographer. Other non-residents sometimes refer to this as the 'High Street', though this is quite wrong as High Street is on the other side of Abbey Fields half a mile away. The road sign on the left dates from circa 1970, before the by-pass was built, when the road to Coventry was still the A46. The road number A429 has been stuck over the old A46 number.
