Brookland Wood belongs to the Woodland Trust. They bought the field in November 1996 with contributions from the community of Fontmell Magna,the Lottery Fund, Dorset County Council and a legacy from Miss Doris Clapton. This photo was taken soon after the initial planting in 1997 from the entrance to the land.
