The abbey church is the dominant feature, with its strangely thin spire. It is a community of Benedictine monks, founded in 1615 in Paris but settling here in 1903. The church was started in 1929 and finished in 1993. There used to be a school, but that closed in 1999 and the school buildings are now being developed for private housing.
