Located at the southern end of The Esplanade. In 1861, the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) set up a lifeboat station and boathouse on the esplanade. The building seen here dates from 1995, when a new boathouse and slipway were built to house a B class lifeboat and launching vehicle, workshop, souvenir sales outlet and improved crew facilities.
