Desert Rats Memorial

This eye catching memorial to the Desert Rats, who were stationed in Thetford Forest prior to the Normandy landings, stands alongside the A1065 between Mundford and Swaffham. A sizeable car park is provided for visitors although on this day it was really too icy for safe use.
