This scene is likely to change radically within very few weeks. The terraced late Victorian housing, and the late twentieth century housing on the right will still be here. The 1960s tower block, Phoenix Rise, about 250 metres away, will not. Already the nearer third of the block has been demolished, bit by bit over the last three months. The rest should disappear more rapidly when the current frozen spell of weather has passed. Image
