2010 : East on Crew's Hole Road

Mostly factories in this area up to the 1970's on both sides of the river, made popular for this purpose by the presence of coal mines on Troopers Hill, seen to the left, also quarries for stone and clay. The River Avon provided transport. Now given over to housing developments handy for the city centre.
