"Neat rows of headstones bearing witness to the memory of some 250 men and women who served in our armed forces and spent their last years in the beautiful surroundings of Sharow". This is a part of the churchyard associated with the former British Legion home at Sharow, Lister House. The home has now been relocated to modern buildings in Ripon.
