Looking down the street from its junction with Armstrong Road to the River Tyne and the Scotswood Bridge. The whole area on the left of the photo, between Armstrong Road and Scotswood Road was cleared of similar terraced housing, a process which started in 2000. It has at long last been fenced off for the starting redevelopment and new building http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/north-east-news/evening-chronicle-news/2010/03/26/1-800-scotswood-homes-finally-given-go-ahead-72703-26116087/ http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/north-east-news/evening-chronicle-news/2010/04/23/work-finally-starts-on-scotswood-regeneration-72703-26302754/
