Droitwich Junction Canal - the missing link

Work has finally commenced (October 2010) to complete the final section of the Mid-Worcestershire Ring with canalisation of the last stretch of the River Salwarpe between the Junction and Barge Canals. The excavator is cutting the link from lock 7 to the Salwarpe, which is seen flowing on the left. Completion is claimed to be April 2011.
