The trees are mostly stripped bare now in this late November view, although there are plenty of dead leaves still on the ground. Highbury Fields was purchased as a result of an 1885 Act of Parliament for 'perpetual use by the public for exercise and recreation'. This is Queen's Walk which crosses the southern half of the park and is one of the avenues that break up the area into separate 'fields'.
