This Gorsedd (throne) circle of stones remains from the Crowning of the Bard at the 1936 eisteddfod held at Fishguard/Abergwaun. It was famously the occasion of a drunken visit by Augustus John and Dylan Thomas who fell out to such an extent that the young poet was turned out of the car on the way back.
