This is one of a series of photos of signposts from Eileen's collection which date from sometime in the mid-1950's. I have worked out the location from the mileages and places on the sign, but also the cottage is still there (though with a few minor changes) and can be seen in Andy F's 2009 photo Image] The sign beyond next to the garden hedge reads 'FORD 1.5 miles ahead' - and this is the river crossing at the entrance to Long Itchington which is now bridged. If you have any more information to add or think the location is wrong I'd be interested to hear from you
