There is nothing in this scene which now suggests that the building behind the postbox is the old post office. The wooden panelled fencing crosses what was the hardstanding in front of the village shop; it closed in March 2008. The postbox is emptied finally at 3:45pm on weekdays and at noon on Saturdays.
