Bales of hay awaiting collection. Beyond is Lanton Hill, and beyond that Watch Hill. Atop Lanton Hill is an obelisk erected in 1827 by Alexander Davison of Swarland Park commemorating his brother, John, of Lanton. Alexander was Nelson's chandler, and an inscription was dedicated to him by his son after his death.
