Far left, but hardly visible is Class 90004. The shunter is Class 08690, which is just forward of a General Utility Van (GUV). Alongside the GUV is Class 86426 in Electric Blue livery. The Intercity liveried locomotive far right is Class 87003 'Patriot'. The station was built in 1847 and was at the time, one of a number of stations in the city. It was expanded and extended in 1875-1876 with the arrival of the Midland Railway.
