Compton House is a former warehouse, built in 1870, which has been refurbished to provide modern retail space, and quality office accommodation. The name can be seen at the very top of the building. Its proximity to Compton House in nearby Church Street (Dated 1865-1867, and now Marks & Spencer) suggests that it might have been the warehouse for that department store, but I have found now evidence for that.
