A former Class 27. This loco was renumbered from 27024 into the departmental series as ADB968028, and used at Eastfield Depot for re-railing exercises. British Rail had the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company (BRCW) build 69 Class 27 diesel locomotives during 1961 and 1962. They were a development of the earlier Class 26. Both were originally classified as BRCW Type 2
