View northward, towards Rugby etc., also Bedford and Cambridge to the right; ex-London & North Western West Coast Main Line. The locomotive is one of the then new Ivatt Class 4MT 2-6-0s, No. 43001. The train is leaving from an Up Main platform rather than from the Cambridge line platform which is visible over on the right.
