This is an old pub, which was certainly here in 1841, when the licensee was Thomas Robinson. He also ran a brewery on the corner of High Street and Brewery Street, which was there by 1834, and maybe earlier. That brewery is long gone and the site was later occupied by a branch of the former Midland Bank. The brewery would have supplied the Old Talbot in its early days, and fortunately the pub is still in business. Image
