On the right we have a mill with a big engine house for a horizontal engine and this is No. 2 Mill, of 1915. The Mill on the left has an engine house (out of view) for an inverted vertical and this is the earlier No. 1 of 1904. The lodge was retained by a huge stone dam as the mills are built on a hill. The lodge is filled level but the dam is still there.
