In Lancashire it's mills not fairies at the bottom of gardens. This is a disappearing scene. The street is a bit too modern and middle class for "Corrie" but there are still examples (I'll try to find one). The Mill is Regent Mill, Failsworth. Built 1906 and designed by G Stott. It was powered by a large inverted vertical triple expansion steam engine but that and the chimney are now gone.
