Postbox at Fiddler's Green

This postbox looks like the building has been demolished around it, but on closer inspection it seems that the newer bricks around the box have been built on the remains of an older building. I don't know what the older building was but one can speculate that it may have had something to do with the (now closed) railway line which runs very close by.
