The road leads to the main road to Whitchurch. Beyond is the former park to Shavington (pulled down in 1959). Much of it is now farmed, but the characteristically undulating landscape and clumps of fine, mature trees survive. In the late C18th, both William Emes and Humphry Repton submitted schemes to landscape the park, but it is not clear whether either were implemented.
