Ym mynwent Eglwys Sant Brynach, Llanboidy ceir 'Cerflun o Alar' - gwaith cynnar pwysig gan y Cymro William Goscombe John. Mae'r cerflun er cof i W.R.H. Powell, tirfeddiannwr nodedig a hoffus lleol a fu farw yn 1891. Dros dreigl yr amser dirywiwyd y cerflun gan yr elfennau ond mae cynllun ar y gweill i'w adnewyddu. The 'Statue of Grief' is located at St Brynach's churchyard, Llanboidy. It is an important early work of the Welsh sculptor, William Goscombe John. It is a memorial to W.R.H Powell, a notable and well liked local landowner who died in 1891. Over the years the statue has suffered from neglect but there are plans afoot to save it from further decay.
