This pair of narrowboats is moored just above Cowroast lock. The motor, nearer the camera, is "Owl" number 75, an iron composite built in 1928 in Northwich by Yarwood and Sons for the large canal carrying firm of Fellows, Morton and Clayton. The powered motor towed an unpowered butty, but the butty behind Owl here is unidentified.
