This is the original gatehouse to Image you can see the similarity of the architecture. In the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries there was a fashion among the rich for unnecessarily long drive ways. This gatehouse is about a third of a mile from the big house. The current gatehouse on Esher Green is little more than two hundred yards from the house.
