Seen from the banks of the Duke of Northumberland's River, with Harmondsworth church beyond. Prof. Pevsner, in the Middlesex volume of 'The Buildings of England', gives the barn's dimensions as follows: length 190ft; width 36ft; height 36ft. As with Osterley Park Image, this is another corner of west Middlesex which still seems quite rural, though close to Heathrow and its 21st century bustle.
