This apartment block on Strowan Road and South Bridgend on the outskirts of Crieff is at first sight a typical low rise block of flats, yet an industrial origin is suggested by the name, 'James McNee & Son' remaining above a window below the roof. It was apparently the Strathearn Preserve Works, built in 1882.
