Looking across West Hill Road towards these two streets which converge and meet at this junction. Commercial Road has come up from The Square, from the right as we look, and swung round to West Hill Post Office, the last address at no.204. Meanwhile, Poole Hill does the same downwards from the left, swinging round to the white building which is at no.1-3. In the centre of the picture we see the public conveniences on the resulting triangular path, beyond which the white terrace provides a seamless link for traffic from Commercial Road into Poole Hill.
