Looking uphill from the Water Street end of this little terrace towards St. Martin's churchyard. I imagine that cottages once stood on both sides of this passageway. They are said to have been built to accommodate workers at the local maltings. A curiosity is the bridge linking two properties at the south end - at second-floor level.
