Catton Methodist Chapel was built in 1882 and replaced an earlier building. It is a rather unusual chapel built in Gothic style and is reminiscent of Allenheads Hall. Inside the chapel much of the original fittings remain. http://www.keystothepast.info/durhamcc/K2P.nsf/K2PDetail?readform&PRN=N7326
