The steps of Low Bridge lead up between buildings on Dean Street to the high offices on the level of the Tyne Bridge. They are another location for 'Invader's' graffiti Image The archway on the right provides access to a multi-storey car park behind. Low Bridge is the only reference left to an old lane which used to connect St Nicholas churchyard to Pilgrim Street with a bridge in this location over the Lort Burn. The bridge was removed in 1787 and the Lort Burn is now underground.
