The statue of a soldier in the Great War (later known as the First World War) faces Frogmore Street. Behind the statue is Abergavenny Baptist Church. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1408451 The dedication on the front of the plinth is To the officers NCOs and men of the 3rd Battalion Monmouthshire Regt who fell in the Great War.
