The church is strong and sturdy in appearance with the embattled tower rising above the trees. The porch has good flushwork and a George and Dragon are featured in the spandrels above the door. The nave roof is a super double hammerbeam construction with traceried spandrels. The East Anglian style font is belittled by the towering 15th century font cover which is carved with the Greek palindrome ‘Cleanse your sins and not your face only’. The Stuart pews are beautifully carved. The Stuart pulpit and holy table are of the same period. A graceful 14th century piscina is flanked by a dropped sill sedilia. There is a collecting shoe dated 1622 and a poor-man’s box dated 1699. The Royal Arms are Hanoverian and hang above the tower arch. There is a nice Henniker family memorial.
