Half-hidden by trees of various species this little church was built in 1850 as a school. It became a church in 1875 when West Row was declared a parish and no longer a hamlet of Mildenhall. New windows were put in, a porch and vestry were added, and the appearance of the whole building was changed. Inside the church, the chancel arch is cusped, which appears most strange. The roof is supported with plain queen-posts. The furnishings, pews, pulpit and stalls, indeed everything in the church is contemporary and purely functional. It is an honest building, and no attempt has been made to make it anything other than what it is. It sits in its own very neat and tidy graveyard, which is sparsely populated with headstones huddled together in one corner.
