North of Kew Bridge is a triangle of railway lines. The present Kew Bridge station on the Hounslow Loop Line is on the southern side of the triangle. The north-western and north-eastern sides both once had passenger services and stations, the latter's station being for terminating North London trains. This is the north-eastern curve viewed from Lionel Road South. The platforms of the old Kew Bridge station seen here were first used in 1862 and closed to passengers in 1940.
