This milestone marker N4 means Newton Stewart 4 miles and sits at the side of the A714. Right of picture are Carseview and Carsegowan Cottage behind which is the Moss of Cree and the Cairnsmore of Fleet. Centre horizon are the Galloway Hills and Kirroughtree Forest. The views that can be seen from the A714 between here and Newton Stewart are truly breathtaking, snow covered peaks in winter and sun bouncing off the hills in summer.
