This building was completed in 1906 and appears quite impressive at this end of the town which is made up of short narrow streets with shops and lots of through-traffic. The Western Gazette is the local newspaper, printed in five editions, and published every Thursday at the present price of 65p. It was founded in 1863 by Charles Clinker who had moved from Bridport to Yeovil.
