Turn northwards from Kings Hotel into Oriental Place. The street was constructed by Amon Henry Wilds from 1825 onwards and was planned to have an oriental garden at the northern end of it. However, these plans were dashed due to lack of finance by 1827 and consequently the space for the gardens is now occupied by Sillwood Hall just seen at the top left of the picture.
