This is the last location of Thorney Hill's post office from about 1975 when it relocated from along School Lane. The postbox is the only remaining telltale sign although the bay window does have an old-shop look about it. Thorney Hill had a post office, save for a temporary closure in 1952, from 1911 to 23 March 1990. With thanks to a lady called Alison who emailed me with some of the above information.
