The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

Another competitor in the Ramsbottom rake hillclimb is about to start. The refurbished library is on the right. The Heritage Society used to occupy the site to the left, but it is now having a children's centre built on it.
